Family Counseling
Family Therapy is for those that want to address issues going on within the family system. Family Therapy can be between two or more family members, such as parent-child (i.e. mother-daughter), siblings, blending families, co-parents, etc. I work primarily with “dyads” - just two people within the system.
Family members may have a specific issue to address, conflict patterns, communication issues, adjustment difficulties, or a major life event that is challenging. Families seek therapy for a variety of reasons.
I take an attachment based approach to help each family member identify, understand, and grow in their role in the dynamic with other family members. Relationships are important to our development. I help each family member to share their experience, hear the experience of their family, and to build connection together. I seek to help families to improve their relationships together.
