Relational Issues and Repair Support
Relational issues are common and can involve a variety of areas. Relationship issues are important to address and repair when you are experiencing a level of distress that you need help with. It can be helpful to have someone outside the relationship to help navigate these issues, such as a therapist.
Relational issues can include: conflict, disconnection, estrangement, escalation, abuse, anger, resentment, parenting difficulties, disagreements, anxiety, negative cycles and relational patterns, behavioral issues, emotional issues, difficulty in connecting, boundary issues, divorce, affairs, breakups, sibling conflict, parent-child issues, blended family dynamics, co-parenting conflict, and a variety of others.
The approach I take with relationships is first to understand your personal experience. While there are common symptoms and causes, it is important that we address things from an individualized approach in order to do our best work together. By hearing your personal story, it helps me to identify more about your experiences of the relationship, any physical/physiological symptoms, your thoughts, your emotions, and your behaviors. These are all important as we work together to get at the root of the relational issues so that we can create a treatment plan that addresses lasting, sustainable growth, and meets the goal you have for the relationship.
